Napa County Airport Land Use Commission
The Napa County Airport Land Use Commission (ALUC) establishes land use policies for areas located within the flight path surrounding Napa County airports. As required by State Aeronautics Law, the ALUC reviews land use compatibility issues for development within airport influence zones guided by the Napa County Airport Land Use Compatibility Plan. Airport compatibility issues include safety, noise, overflight and airspace protection. The Napa County ALUC comprises the five Napa County Planning Commissioners and two at-large members with aviation expertise, appointed by the Board of Supervisors. The ALUC meets on a quarterly basis in February, May, August and November, although Special Meetings are scheduled, as needed.
Please include Mr. McDowell and Mr. Gee in any emails or written correspondence sent to two or more Commissioners or communications intended for the Commission as a whole. Correspondence pertaining to any item coming before the Commission should be sent directly to Mr. Gee.
All correspondence will be forwarded to the Commission promptly. This is the best way to ensure that the Commission receives your message in a timely and certified manner.
Note: Public records laws require disclosure of all correspondence, including emails, pertaining to business matters that come before the Commission. Please assist that process by including the Commission's Deputy Executive Officer and Staff Liaison in correspondence and emails with Commissioners.
