Today, Friday, March 8, you can join hundreds of Napa County teachers and students at Ag Day at the Napa County Expo, sponsored by the Napa County Farm Bureau and the Agricultural Commissioner's Office. From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., you can see livestock, demonstrations, exhibits and more, demonstrating the lasting importance of the agriculture industry to Napa County. Free. Find out more.

We are in the midst of some remodeling work in our Administration Building, and we thank you for your patience. When the job inside is complete, we'll have a new main lobby and a Permit Service Center on the second floor, making a "one-stop" shop for those who are visiting us for permits of all kinds. Be a water farmer and get a cash rebate
The Napa County Flood Control and Water Conservation District is offering cash rebates to residents of the Napa River watershed who install rain gardens and rain barrels/cisterns on their property. You can slow the velocity of rainwater and also capture it to use as irrigation water. Find all the details on the Watershed Information Center & Conservancy (WICC) site.
Comment on the MST EIR by March 15
Our Public Works folks and Napa Sanitation District have prepared an Addendum and a Supplemental Information Document to the environmental documents for proposed changes to the approved North Bay Water Recycling Program Phase 1 Implementation Plan, which includes the MST pipeline project in Napa. A 30-day review period began on Feb. 14 and extends to March 15, 2013. Find out more.
