Board of Supervisors
UPDATE: Due to damages sustained in the South Napa Quake, the Board of Supervisors and Planning Commission meetings are held at the South Campus location of 2741 Napa Valley Corporate Drive, Building 2.
The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Napa County, with jurisdiction that varies depending on the services. The Board has jurisdiction over land use, roads and municipal services in the unincorporated areas of the county. For other services, such as Corrections (Jail), Health and Human Services, document recording, etc., the Board's jurisdiction is countywide.
The five members of the Napa County Board of Supervisors are elected by voters in five Supervisorial districts. They serve four-year terms, and the Chair of the Board is rotated among the members by District. For 2015, District 3 Supervisor Diane Dillon is Chair, and District 4 Supervisor Alfredo Pedroza is Vice Chair.
The Board of Supervisors is guided by vision and mission statements, and have adopted organizational values, as well as 3-year goals and short-term objectives.
