The project consists of but is not limited to repair storm damage to a retaining wall along the south
side of White Sulphur Springs Road that also serves as the northern bank for
Sulphur Creek. Approximately 200 linear feet of the retaining wall have been
compromised and approximately 30 linear feet have broken and fallen into the
creek that could jeopardize the integrity of the adjacent White Sulphur Springs
The proposed project includes the
demolition of the existing failed retaining wall, including removal of sections
of the wall that has fallen into Sulphur Creek, and construction of a new
reinforced concrete retaining wall with cast in drilled hole concrete piles,
surface and subsurface drainage system, riparian restoration, and all other
associated work to complete the construction of the project.
