Glascott, Gibbs win State probation awards

Napa County employees Dan Glascott (Information Technology) and Amanda Gibbs (Probation) were honored by the Chief Probation Officers of California (CPOC) at their annual awards luncheon in December.

Chief Probation Officer Mary Butler nominated Glascott for the Tim Fitzharris award,

given to a non-probation employee who has made a significant contribution to the field

 of Corrections.

"I nominated Dan because for the past year he has worked with Probation staff to

design the CJ NET system. This computer system will give us everything we asked for

and more.  We found Dan and his team to be very supportive of our wishes and creative

in assuring we got what we needed. I couldn’t nominate the entire team, so I

nominated Dan for his outstanding work," Butler said.

Butler nominated Gibbs for the Bay Area Region employee of the year award. The Bay Region

includes 12 counties, and seven staff were nominated.

"After all the discussion was over, Amanda was the clear winner," Butler said. "I was

thrilled that others saw what we all see in Amanda every day.  Comments were made about

her ability to problem solve, to help out other counties when they needed something

and just what a good representative of the region she would be."

Congratulations to Dan Glascott, Amanda Gibbs, Mary Butler and the entire Probation department!
