March 1-7 is "Weights and Measures Week".
Every day, Napa County consumers pay for products based on a weight or a measurement, like a gallon of gas, a taxicab meter, or price-scanning equipment. The county Agricultural Commissioner/Sealer of Weights is responsible for testing these devices to ensure their accuracy, and protecting the interest of buyers and sellers.
In the last calendar year, staff inspected more than 3,000 devices and conducted more than 9,800 inspections throughout Napa county. Visit the Agricultural Commissioner
