Teen Volunteer Opportunities

Are you a Teen between the ages of 13 and 18 and want to volunteer at the Library? Have a volunteer requirement as part of your curriculum or club?

We're looking for self-motivated teens to assist us with a large variety of tasks. We ask you to commit to one hour a week during the school year and a self-determined commitment during the summer. Tasks that volunteers have helped us with include shelf organizing, video production, room monitoring, book reviewing, assisting with events, and even leading workshops and clubs.

If you would like to volunteer at the library, we invite you to complete an application and contact the Young Adult Librarian, Melinda Mathis, with questions. Volunteer orientations are held on the second Saturday (unless noted otherwise) of every month at 3:15 pm.

Contact Melinda Mathis at (707) 259-8394, or email her at: melinda.mathis@countyofnapa.org

ALSO: Attend a meeting of Napa Library's Teen Advisory Board (TAB). The TAB is responsible for choosing and planning teen events at the library. Open meetings are scheduled the first Wednesday of every month in the Napa Main Library Community Room or Teen Room at 4-5 P.M. Any interested teens are welcome to drop in and participate. Refreshments are provided.
