On October 27 President Obama issued an Individual and Household Assistance declaration for residents affected by the South Napa Earthquake.  Start the disaster assistance application process at www.disasterassistance.gov.  FEMA and the Small Business Association will be available for questions at the Napa LAC, visit www.napaquakeinfo.com or call (707) 258-7829 for hours of operation and more info.
 
 
voteLet your voice be heard! Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 4
Vote by mail ballots should now be returned at any Vote by Mail Assistance Center (VAC) beginning Saturday, November 1 through Tuesday, November 4. Hours and locations of the VACs are included with your vote by mail ballots.  Lost or damaged vote by mail ballots can be replaced at the Election Division 2751 Napa Valley Corporate Dr. Building 4 weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.  Click here to find you polling station.  For more information contact the Elections Division at (707) 253-4422, 1-888-494-8356 or elections@countyofnapa.org.

Vaccination little girlIt's not too late to vaccinate: free flu vaccine clinics in November
Napa County Public Health will offer free flu vaccine to anyone age three years and older at flu clinics in Lake Beryessa, Napa and Calistoga in November.  Find the date and location of the flu clinic closest to you!  Can't make a flu clinic?  Call (707) 253-4270 for a free appointment after November 12.
 
 
Napa Local Food WebsiteThe Local Food Advisory Council has a new website: a one stop shop for local food info!
The Agricultural Commissioner’s Office and the Napa County Local Food Advisory Council are pleased to announce the release of www.napalocalfood.com. The site aims to provide extensive content about local food issues, including finding local farmers, farm stands, CSA, and markets that sells locally produced food; current agricultural, environmental, and sustainability issues; and how you can get involved in local food banks, community gardens, culinary programs, or food sharing groups!

gavelDistrict Attorney’s Office receives grant for DUI Prosecution & Prevention Program
Napa County has been selected again to receive grant funding for a specialized DUI Prosecution and Prevention Team.  The purpose is to prevent impaired driving, reduce alcohol and drug-impaired traffic fatalities and injuries, and to hold individuals accountable.  The team will conduct community outreach and education events to promote local DUI prevention efforts. Greenwood Bridge ClosedGreenwood Avenue Bridge at Garnett Creek closed due to Earthquake Damage
Due to damage caused by the South Napa Earthquake, the Greenwood Avenue Bridge at Garnett Creek outside of Calistoga has been determined to be unsafe and is closed to all users, including pedestrians and bicycles.  Residents are advised to follow warning signs.  The bridge will remain closed until it can be repaired.
